This picture is from my hometown in Vestmannaeyjar. I went there on jan 4th and on arrival I shot this frame with my Canon EOS 7D. The two houses are, on the left, a replica of an old church that was a gift from Norway to the Icelandic nation cause of celebration of 1000 years of christianity in Iceland. And the house on the right is the oldest house in Vestmannaeyjar, rebuilt there in 2000, called Landlyst. That house was the first maternity clinic (built in 1847) in Iceland, amongst many other things over the years. The houses are standing on a
solidified lava wich came from the volcanic eruption in Vestmannaeyjar in 1973. But that's a whole different story.
